Skiing on a budget – How to make the most of your chalet holiday

Thanks to the state of the pound against the Euro, what was an expensive hobby has now become out of reach for many individuals and families. When skiing or snowboarding, it’s not just your accommodation and flights you have to consider; there’s lift pass, equipment hire, lunch on the mountain, lessons… add all that up and it comes to almost the same price as the accommodation!

Chatel – a wonderful secret resort in the French Alps

If you know a bit about the world of skiing, you might well think that the largest ski area in the world is the Three Valleys. You might also think that only glacier resorts such as Tignes are able to offer "snow sure" skiing. In both cases you would be wrong!
